Doing things a little differently.

Brock Stone, the breeder, holding four baby dusky headed conures

My goal is not just to produce parrots, but produce companions that are well socialized and prepared to live in a world with humans. I honor what they are—wild birds!—and raise them with their natural biology and instincts in mind. Things like providing hiding spots for fledging babies, getting babies fully fledged and teaching them to safely navigate their world and their abilities, and teaching them to forage and play are all critical parts of my program. Nurturing them emotionally as well as physically is my priority.

I take a heavy focus on buyer education as well. It is my responsibility to make every effort to ensure people have appropriate expectations for their birds and the care they need, and help them understand behaviors and troubleshoot issues with the birds they get from me.

My vision

My goal is to produce well-balanced birds that serve equally well as companions, aviary birds, or breeders. I raise my birds to know they are BIRDS, and I teach and train them daily to understand and live in our human world while still being comfortable with and as birds. I seek to raise birds that are confident, adaptable, and setup for success now matter where their lives may take them.

I’m combining my experience in rescue, behavior, and free flight to shape pet birds that are the best possible versions of themselves. My goal will be to begin all my babies on the road to success with recall training and habituation to a wide variety of situations and environments, and to be available from “cradle to grave” for those who take on my birds should they need help or have questions. A better pet and a well educated owner means a team that stays together, and I believe this is a key part of keeping birds with their favorite people for years to come.

I have dedicated myself to focusing on birds that are rarer in US Aviculture and highlighting their wonderful qualities so that people get the chance to appreciate and enjoy them for generations to come. I also focus on providing birds that are well started, as well as supporting my buyers after the birds go home to ensure that every bird I produce truly has the best possible chance of staying with its first family long-term! I always tell people, “My birds come with lifetime tech support!”
